Well after the promising start yesterday with my warm welcome from the employees, Joel and Olivier, it all got a bit trickier today. Turns out my french is not really up to asking local shop keepers info on companies who service the wood burner – so that took quite some time. Despite their incomprehension, they were very kind and helpful.
Setting up a phone line is also a bit challenging as it turns out so people at Orange were also confused. My lovely wife, still in the sunny North East of England, thinks she has managed to arrange for a phone line and wifi but we shall see. I may need some further guidance in tractor management as my new, favourite bit of kit conked out on the road into the site during my first grand tour of the site. Unfortunately, this is the same road that a massive removal van bringing all our furniture will need to travel down tomorrow. Pushing a tractor is very hard work!
